Shabbat celebrations typically include candle-lighting, music,
a commentary, discussion, and,
of course, an Oneg (refreshments) and social time.

These small
groups meet monthly at members homes or other
locations for activities planned by their members
and plenty of socializing. New groups form as the
interest arises.

We
have a topical program or discussion followed by a
brunch once a month. Programs vary from speakers on
social or cultural issues to films, books or
exhibits offered by our members. A bagel brunch
follows, $5 for non-members and members are free. |

Our Madrikha and
Cantor
conduct Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashanah, Tashlich, Erev Yom
Kippur – Kol Nidre, and Yom Kippur Break the Fast celebrations. We create new liturgy regularly to keep the programs
fresh and topical. Instrumental and vocal music is an integral
part of every observance.

We offer a
unique secular Seder with a professionally catered
meal. There are also humanistic adaptations of other
Jewish holidays that we enjoy including Sukkot,
Hanukah, Tu B’Shevat, Purim, Passover, Yom Ha’Shoah, and
Yom Ha Atz’maut. Our full service congregation marks an array
of life cycle events, such as Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, child
namings, life achievement, and memorial ceremonies.
